A total of 126 students across the island of Ireland have been awarded an All Ireland Scholarship which will cover the full duration of their undergraduate studies. The 2025 winners were honoured at the All Ireland Scholarships Awards Ceremony on Saturday 4th April in University Concert Hall, University of Limerick.
In attendance at the ceremony was All Ireland Scholarships Sponsor, JP McManus, Guest of Honour and Double Olympic Champion, Kellie Harrington, Deputy Willie O’Dea TD, and Head of the Skills and Education Group for the Department for the Economy NI, Louise Watson, as well as the family, friends and school representatives of the scholarship recipients.
Established by JP McManus in 2008, the All Ireland Scholarship scheme has awarded 2,051 scholarships across Ireland to date.
Through the introduction of a membership campaign for all All Ireland Scholarship holders from 2008 to present, an additional scholar-funded All Ireland Scholarship was awarded for the first time. Isobelle Hendry from County Monaghan was presented with her award by Chair of the All Ireland Scholars Executive Committee, Colette Scariff-Lalor.
With this new initiative, the Association aims to build on the unwavering support and dedication of Sponsor JP McManus to third-level education in Ireland, by strengthening the impact and opportunities provided by the All Ireland Scholarships and carrying forward its legacy.
